We welcome all individuals who support our mission, whether or not they have a college degree. 

The Bennington Branch is the local affiliate of the National Association. It was founded in 1926 and will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026.

Our mission is to promote equity and education for women and girls. Women with an associates  or higher degree are eligible to be members of national AAUW. Those without a degree are welcome as local members.

The Bennington Branch actively supports a local scholarship program for non-traditional female students at the Community College of Vermont (CCV). Since 2007, the Branch has awarded a total of more than $50,000. Various Fundraisers and cash gifts by members support this program.
