AAUW Bennington is an all-volunteer organization. Not only do we volunteer for committee positions, but also we take part in various community projects,  Why? We enjoy the camaraderie  with each other and we take pride in supporting an organization we believe in.

We get to know one another and deepen friendships by helping with tasks that suit our available time and personal interests.  We have a lot of volunteer opportunities. If you already have an idea of what you might do to help, that’s great.  If you want to step outside of your comfort zone and explore something new, you’ll be supported  by other members.

Here are some possibilities for involvement:

• Join the Program Committee.  The committee selects a chair and committee members take turns finding speakers and advertising public events
• Help the Hospitality co-chairs.  Offer to bring refreshments; help set up the room for events, serve food, and clean up afterwards.
• Write articles for the newsletter.
• Help distribute posters for public events.
• Run for elected branch positions.
• Take part in Book Group and offer to lead a book discussion.
