Dues

Membership dues for 2020-21 are due NOW (September 1, at the latest.)  Dues are $69 ($59 supports our National organization, and $10 our local Branch).  Please make your check payable to AAUW and mark “dues” in the memo section.

You may also bring your check to our upcoming program, the Premier of “From Corsets to Combinations: The Fashion Revolution of Women’s Suffrage” on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 6:30- 9:00 pm at the Park-McCullough House.

New Member

We have a new member, Barbara Marino from Shaftsbury, a relatively recently retired Special Ed teacher. Barbara attended our last pre-Covid event at Oldcastle on February 29 featuring singer and historian Linda Radtke.  Barbara and I chatted about her interest in joining AAUW and we decided that she would do so during the Shape-the-Future membership drive in the springtime.

Needless to say, the future did not shape up as expected. But Barbara hung in there and waited until dues were due—and now we are pleased to welcome her.
