Leaving a Room of One’s Own

Jennifer Jasper

Three years of Covid-isolation have left many of us unused to the camaraderie that we used to enjoy as part of our AAUW experience. It’s time to change that, and here’s an opportunity:  join with the members of our Branch for a unique workshop led by Jennifer Jasper designed just for us.  Through improvisation, free writing and dialogues we will explore the transition between the isolation of the pandemic into socializing in person. After two plus years of Zoom meetings, FaceTime, texts and emails it is time to stretch our social muscles!

“Women have sat indoors all these millions of years, so that by this time the walls are permeated by their creative force, which has, indeed, so overcharged the capacity of bricks and mortar that it must needs harness itself to pens and brushes and business and politics.” — Virginia Woolf from “A Room of One’s Own”

Jennifer Jasper is a performer, improviser, storyteller, director,  and playwright. She is the former Executive Director of Bennington Performing Arts Center—The Home of Oldcastle Theatre Company.
