September Branch Meeting: Potluck Lunch

Please join us for the September potluck on Saturday, September 11 at 12:00  noon at the Old First Church Barn. This meeting is a great way to see old friends, make new ones, and have some tasty food. Bring a dish to share–either an appetizer, a salad, a main dish, a vegetable dish, or dessert. Coffee and tea will be available.  If you are not comfortable sharing food, just bring food for yourself.

After lunch, we’ll have a brief talk by Jennifer Jasper, Executive Director of the Bennington Performing Arts Center (BPAC). Jennifer will give us a preview of The Turn of the Screw, our AAUW scholarship fundraiser taking place on the next day. She’ll explain the kinds of decisions the artistic director made, in consultation with the set designer, costume designer, and lighting designer, as she prepared this play for production.

Jennifer is the Executive Director of the Bennington Performing Arts Center – the Home of Oldcastle Theatre (BPAC).  Jennifer and her wife Kate moved to Bennington four years ago from Seattle, where she performed and directed for 25+ years. She is also an award-winning playwright and avid storyteller. In Bennington, however, she is best known for her extroverted corgi, Izzy!
