“Equality and Inequality in 21st Century America” is the topic when Phillip Crossman, Coordinator of Teaching and Learning at Community College of Vermont talks as part of the ongoing Talks of the Times: Exploring Critical Issues” series on Sunday, March 8 at 2 p.m.
The talk is free and open to the public. It will be at the Unitarian Universalist Meetinghouse, 108 School St., Bennington. Philip Crossman has been teaching high school and college courses in World History, American History, and Vermont History, Philosophy, Religion, and Literature for over 25 years. Over the course of an eclectic career he has served as a hockey coach, house painter, college administrator, and for a few years, a cartographer in the Middle East. Presently, he serves as a Coordinator of Teaching and Learning at the Community College of Vermont while teaching college ethics and religion (at CCV and Norwich University). In his present work, he oversees courses in History, Political Science, and Philosophy among other disciplines. Crossman grew up in Rutland where his family has been since the Revolutionary War.
