All That She Carried by Tiya Miles. Tiya Miles, a professor of history at Harvard, chronicles the historical journey of an embroidered cotton sack, beginning with the enslaved woman who gave it to her 9-year-old daughter in the 1850s.

Telegraph Club, the Vermont Reads selection for 2023-24. Locations TBD.
Specific topics and dates will be listed in the April Newsletter. Events will include background information related to Malinda Lo’s book that are of interest to all: swing music, Chinese cooking, lesbian relationships, the red scare, a film screening, and more. These events are cosponsored by the Park McCullough Library, AAUW, and Brookdale Fillmore Pond.
