Introducing Diversity Comics
With this issue, we introduce a series of original comics by artist Anna Moriarty Lev. We asked Anna to share her personal musings on our AAUW branch’s theme this year of diversity and inclusivity. As a woman, artist, and mother of two young boys, Anna, 35, brings a fresh perspective to the pages of our newsletter and to our theme. A resident of nearby Williamstown, Anna grew up in Denver and Bennington and is the daughter of the late and much-loved AAUW member, artist Viola Moriarty, who died of breast cancer in 2013. We asked Julie Mackaman to find out more about Anna’s life as an artist and how she reflects on her daily life through her comics. — Editors
