Welcome back! After a break from regular meetings, we’re looking forward to a full calendar of events this fall. Our program committee has been busy planning a series of events. See the Calendar of Events. With luck, we’ll be able to continue meeting in person rather than resorting to Zoom as we did last year. We hope to see you at many of these events.
Annual Potluck
We begin on Saturday, September 11 at noon with our annual potluck, this time a lunch at the Old First Church Barn. Read More about the Potluck. After lunch, Jennifer Jasper, Executive Director of Bennington Performing Arts Center–Home of Oldcastle Theatre (BPAC), will talk about upcoming events at BPAC and will also give us a brief overview of the Turn of the Screw.
Scholarship Fundraiser
Join us on September 12 at 2:00 pm for our Annual Theatre Scholarship Fundraiser at Oldcastle Theatre. This year we will be seeing The Turn of the Screw, a one-act play version of Henry James’ classic short story. Click here for more information and to reserve tickets. Pop-up Event: Visit the Robert Frost Exhibit at the Bennington Museum
Occasionally, members will arrange for a special event–a pop-up. This month, Carolyn Webb and Althea Church have done the planning. If you haven’t seen the Robert Frost exhibit, consider signing up for this event on September 23 at 10:00 am. Have lunch afterward at the Loose Cannon. Read more and sign up.
