Workshop with Ingrid

Both “Trifles” and the AAUW are concerned with the issue of gender inequality and the ways in which women are marginalized and oppressed in society. In “Trifles,” the female characters are able to see things that the male characters cannot, and they ultimately solve the mystery of the murder that the men are investigating. This can be seen as a commentary on the ways in which women are often overlooked and undervalued in male-dominated spaces. Similarly, the AAUW works to promote gender equity and to ensure that women’s voices are heard and valued in all areas of society.
